These professional grade storage boxes have an exclusive reversible lid and universal lip design that provides modular stacking and a variety of mix-and-match capacities. With the lid placed in the concave position, several boxes can be stacked on top of each other making the most use of shelf height. If the contents of the storage box are slighter higher than the box walls, the lid can be reversed into the convex position and fully cover the box. If even more height is required, the universal lip design allows one box to be used upside on top of another box forming a tall storage box. Compared to round containers, the gastronorm sizing makes the most use of shelving space; reducing shelf area on average by 16%. To assist in complying with HACPP guidelines, each container has a permanent label moulded right into the container wall for quick reference and identification of the contents. Made with food grade polypropylene #5; the safest plastic available for direct contact with food. Heavy duty wall and lid thickness provides durable impact, chemical and stain resistance over the full temperature range -40 C to +95 C (-40 F to 203 F). Compared to stainless steel, polypropylene is more economical, quieter, lighter, and the translucence provides ease in identifying the contents.
