Made with food grade polypropylene #5; the safest plastic available for direct contact with food. Heavy duty wall and lid thickness provides durable impact, chemical and stain resistance over the full temperature range -40 C to +95 C (-40 F to 203 F). Compared to stainless steel, polypropylene is more economical, quieter, lighter, and the translucence provides ease in identifying the contents.
